Check My Home →ECO4’s benefits route accepts Universal Credit outright — the household simply needs a UC award and a property in the qualifying EPC bands (D–G for tenants, E–G for most owner-occupier measures). Unlike the Flex route, there’s no council criteria document to satisfy and no declaration wait: your UC award letter is the evidence.
Packages follow the whole-house assessment: loft, cavity or solid wall insulation, underfloor and room-in-roof insulation, first-time central heating for homes without it, heating controls, air-source heat pumps — and in qualifying projects solar PV (10kWp cap). Electrically heated and off-gas homes typically score the largest packages.
Private tenants qualify with landlord consent — and landlords can’t charge for scheme measures. The improvement raises the property’s EPC and value at zero cost to them, so refusals are rare once that’s understood. Social tenants: ECO4 covers E–G social homes for insulation and first-time heating.
