We never sell your details to call-centre lists — one enquiry means one matched installer, not four companies ringing for a week. Recommendations are never ranked by who pays more; our editorial content doesn’t change because a category is more profitable; and when a Government scheme is your best route, we say so and link the official application — even though official routes pay us nothing.
The Home Energy Checker will tell you when a product is not a priority for your home. A battery before solar, a heat pump before fabric — wrong order wastes your money and produces bad installations. Our long-term business depends on outcomes that make sense, not on maximum products per household.
Matched installers must hold the certifications their work requires — MCS for solar/heat pumps, PAS 2030/2035 for retrofit measures, CIGA-backed guarantees for cavity work — and are monitored on response, survey and completion quality. Persistent complaints end the relationship.
